Chairman’s Message – Capt. Frank Crescitelli
A new decade, a new plan of attack! As we finish up our planning and budget meetings for 2010, I am excited, as excited that is, that I can be without having caught a fish in months! If anyone has ever had cabin fever, then you know what I am talking about. At any rate we have laid out our plans for the new year, which include another hard push to make Striped Bass a Game fish in New York. We have a little bit of a head start because right now in the Senate is a bill that will call for the end of commercial fishing in the Hudson River, which by the way is the location of the second largest spawning biomass of Striped Bass in the world.

Chairman’s Message – Capt. Frank Crescitelli
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Holiday’s to all! Well the year is over and wow what a year it has been! A new President with a gigantic management plan for the ocean and it’s resources, a new Saltwater fishing license for NY, one on the way for NJ, (although it looks like there will be no fee for now), and lot’s more.

Chairman’s Message – Capt. Frank Crescitelli
Well, summer is officially over, the kids are back to school, it’s back to our newsletter and reconnecting with our members. Although it may appear by our communication level that we had taken the summer off, nothing could be further from the truth. We have been working on fisheries issues, like our ongoing lawsuit for coast wide management of Summer Flounder and preparing statements for the upcoming Bluefin debacle as well as many other issues.

Chairman's Message - Capt. Frank Crescitelli
Well the 11th Annual
FCA Manhattan Cup is over, and I am proud to announce that we made history! The
largest fishing tournament ever held in NYC and the largest of its kind in all
of the North East. More important than that designation is the fact that we
raised money for worthy charities.

Chairman's Message - Capt. Frank Crescitelli
The worst economy in our lifetime, loads of people out of work, and still we planned our annual banquet with childlike enthusiasm. As went about our annual routine we wondered; would we be able to top the outcome of last year's wildly successful banquet?
